California OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits (PELs)

California OSHA has established an extensive list of Permissible Exposure Limits (PELs) that are enforced in workplaces under its jurisdiction. Though not enforceable in establishments outside of California, the PELs can provide information on acceptable levels of chemicals in the workplace.

It shall be noted that other occupational exposure limits (OELs) are also used in the United States.They shall be included in SDSs if available.
