Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are chemicals that alter function(s) of the endocrine system and consequently cause adverse health effects to humans and/or other organisms. The UN has published a list of chemicals that have been identified as endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) or potential EDCs in 2018. The list is included in an EDC report prepared and published by the International Panel on Chemical Pollution (IPCP) commission by the UN Environment.
The list includes 45 chemical substances (as end of July 2017). The chemicals are claimed to have gone through at least one "thorough scientific assessment.
